Our New Worship Space

Dedication:  Sunday, August 24, 3:30 p.m

After months of construction and anticipation, our new worship space is completed!  We will celebrate the completion of the space and dedicate it as a house of worship with a service of Holy Eucharist on Sunday, August 24 at 3:30 p.m. Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod Bishop Michael Rinehart will be with us for the afternoon and will preside at worship. 

On the morning of the 24th, there will be only ONE morning service at 9:00 a.m. (instead of our ususal services at 8:00 and 11:00 a.m.).  There will be no Salem ALIVE! or adult education classes that morning; we will instead have a Salem work detail to help with last-minute preparations like moving the hymnals and communion ware.  A breakfast, served after teh morning service, will be available for everyone.  Worshipers are encouraged to wear work clothes that morning.  Everything shoudl be finished by noon to give all the helpers plenty of time to go home, clean up and change before the Dedication Service at 3:30 p.m.

Kroger is providing a dinner following the dedication service.  Dinner will be served in the Family Life Center.
