Fulfilling the
Vision
During Lent this year, Salem held
a debt-reduction campaign called "Fulfilling the Vision."
The campaign seeks to significantly reduce the congregations'
$1.2 million debt on the worship space completed in 2008.
In many ways, we continue to fulfill the vision
that brought us in the new worship space we are enjoying and sharing
with our community. It has been an exciting journey. We know God continues
to travel with us. Knowing this, we move forward in faith
by working together to secure the funding needed to manage
the cost of our new facilities.
Our Commitment Weekend was April 9
and 10 as we held a Day of Prayer on April 9 and Commitment
Sunday on April 10. It was a miracle! We prayed and
God answered our prayers! The Holy Spirit moved among us
as we prayed for an expanding mission and ministry in 2011 and
beyond. Our First Report indicates that we have received
pledges for a total of $480,000 over the three-year giving
period for our "Fulfilling the Vision" campaign! Thank you
to all you pledged! All praise and thanksgiving to God!
The Fulfilling
the Vision campaign is our next significant step on this faith
journey. The load is never heavy when everyone lifts. You are welcome to join us on our
journey as we move toward our of goal of $750,000.
Please contact the Church Office for
more information about how you can join us on our journey.
