Staff
The Rev. David A. Roschke is our Senior Pastor. He leads our staff team and is a recognized church leader. He has been a long-time leader in ecumenical and interfaith ventures in Houston, in Texas and in the Lutheran church. Early in his ministry, he also developed an English-speaking ecumenical congregation in Stavanger, Norway and edited a Lutheran newspaper in St. Louis. He is a graduate of Concordia Seminary-in-Exile (Seminex) in St. Louis and the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He and his wife Jennifer have three grown children, Pastor Daniel (and his wife Heather), Timothy (and his wife Caitríona) and Jonathan -- and two grandchildren, Micah and Kathryn.
Sharon Kovar is our Office Manager. A native of Houston, Sharon coordinates ministry in the church office and oversees use of our facilities. She produces our weekly worship folders and monthly newsletter and coordinates our volunteer workforce. Involved in various community activities, she is affiliated with the Junior Chamber of Commerce and has been honored with Life Membership in Junior Chamber International.
Keith Weber is our Director of Music and Organist. Keith is a choral and orchestral conductor, vocal coach, organist, pianist, harpsichordist and collaborator. He is widely known for his musical versatility and excellence having served congregations in Dallas, Tyler, Atlanta (GA) and Houston. He is also Artistic Director of Grace Song, Inc, a wide-ranging, non-profit production company.
Jennifer Martin, joined our staff in September of this year as our Director of Education. She oversees all of our educational ministry - Salem ALIVE!/Sunday Church School, Camp Salem, adult classes and our Weekend of Theology - and also our youth ministry. She and her husband Jared have two children, Nathaniel and Hannah. Active in her children's school for many years, Jennifer also teaches a kindergarten art class at Parker Elementary and volunteers at Parker and Johnston Middle School.
Sharon Moore is a native of Houston. She has more than 35 years of experience in the administrative assistant field and serves as our Part-Time Secretary.
